Joel
Nakamura is an artist known for his unique style: a
blend of folk art and sophisticated iconography rendered
in neo-primitive technique. His paintings have enlivened
the pages of Time, US News & World Report, and the
Los Angeles Times. Nakamura has created marketing materials
for Lego, Merck & Co. and Nike as well as opening
and closing programs for the Salt Lake City 2002 winter
games. He has been profiled in Communication Arts, Step
Inside Design and Confetti magazines and is the proud
recipient of over two hundred awards of excellence.
