Willardson
David
Willardson attended Art Center College of Design. Willardson
produced art for many movie posters and album covers
for musical artists such as The Beach Boys, Mötley
Crüe, The Carpenters, The Police and Styx. Willardson
created the Raiders of the Lost Ark movie logo and the
American Graffiti carhop. His work has also graced the
covers of Rolling Stone, Time and Newsweek. In the past
three decades his graphic designs and illustrations
have received more than 150 awards in the fields of
advertising and entertainment including a Grammy nomination,
a Clio, the New York Art Directors Gold Medal,
the Belding Award and the Key Art "Best of Show"
Award. Willardson has recently been exhibited at the
Carl Bornstein Gallery in Los Angeles, Parco Gallery
in Tokyo, the Tamara Bane Gallery in Los Angeles and
the Nevada Institute of Contemporary Art in Las Vegas.
